We are looking for a dynamic, organized, and customer-focused Business Analyst (BA) who is interested in guiding key business decisions.
The person would be part of the Category team in the Amazon Now team, and play a key role in driving projects across multiple initiatives related to marketing, product and category. The key tasks would be to analyze sales, traffic, other business data to help teams prepare for business reviews. He/she will be responsible for helping marketing & product managers with growing the overall business providing decision support through data analysis and business insights.
This role requires an individual with excellent understanding of SQL and query development, good business acumen and the ability to work with quantitative and business teams. The successful candidate will be a self-starter comfortable with ambiguity, with strong attention to detail, an ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment, and driven by a desire to innovate in this space.
The Business Analyst position is based in Bangalore.
. Deep Dive and Advanced Analytics – Identify, develop, manage, and execute analyses to uncover areas of opportunity to help marketing, product and category functions create higher business impact
. Metrics and Reports – Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, etc. to drive key business decisions. Ensure data accuracy by validating data for new and existing tools
. Helping identify process improvement opportunities to build streamlined and scalable solutions
. Attention to detail, ability to do in-depth data mining, methodical approach to work while also seeking to understand the big picture
. Results driven with the ability to innovate and simplify current process and practices.
. 3+ years relevant experience in business analysis & reporting
. Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights
. Experience with SQL/ETL
. 3+ years of relevant experience in a business analyst, data analyst or statistical analysis role . Advanced technical or business degree (BE/Btech) . Experience in developing requirements and formulating business metrics for reporting, familiarity with data visualization using Tableau
